" Unconnected of the Outer World " This Voluntary Program is part of the " cooperation agreement " exists between the agency and the program ASVO of the Ministry of Environment and Energy ( MINAE ), institution of the government of Costa Rica that administrate and protect all the system of National Parks and Natural Reserves of country. This program develops in the Corcovado National Park located in the Gulf of Osa, province of Puntarenas, South Pacific coast of Costa Rica. This park is one of the bigger natural reserve of country with its 42,500 hectares of protected area within its extension is possible to find a huge diversity of flora and fauna including giant hundred years old trees, important species of mammalians as cougar and the pork of mountain, big reptiles as cocodriles and many kinds of birds including the scarlet mackaw. The forest is " Wet Tropical " and the weather of park is hot, wet and rainy most part of the year. Main attractions of Park: one kind of stone balls, unique on the world, and other kind of ruins that belong to an ancient Indian civilization that lived in the zone. Several paths that takes around all over the park, several look - out with great views, one landing field. The reserve disposes of services as: · Electricity in some areas of park. · Water coming from natural pits · Several comfortable installations around all over the park where lodge both volunteers and staff of park. The Park is a little far from towns or cities, so that volunteers will be a lot unconnected from outer world during their stay in program. Gallery of Pictures The " Voluntary Work " includes maintenance of paths and buildings, cleaning and maintenance of the camping areas and attention to visitors. The volunteers lodge in comfortable bedrooms for boys and girls. Volunteers and Staff of park eat all together in the Dining Room area. The Program requires a minimum stay of Two Weeks.
