" Carara " This Voluntary Program is part of the " cooperation agreement " exists between agency and the program ASVO of Ministry of Environment and Energy ( MINAE ), institution of the government of Costa Rica that administrate and protect all system of National Parks and Natural Reserves of country. The program develops in an exuberant paradise called " Carara National Park ", one of biggest natural reserves of country, located on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica Within limits of park is possible to find one of biggest diversities of flora and fauna able to find in Costa Rica and available menu includes giant trees, many kinds of birds, several kinds of mammalians, a big diversity of reptiles and insects including big crocodiles and snakes and several animals in danger of extinction. The weather of area is very warm, around 27°C/80°F more part of year, with maximum temperature of 35°C/95°F during summer time, specially on march and april. And for rainy season, from May to December, pluvial average precipitation gets to 2,800 mm. Main attractions: The huge diversity of flora and fauna able to find and watch in Park. Several animals in danger of extinction as Scarlet Macaws, Titi and White Face Monkeys, Manigordo, Cougars and the Horse Bear. Some Indian ruins and craves able to watch and research in some sectors of park. The park is located in a tourism area for what are many things to do or met during time - days off. The park is also very near of important population centers as San Jose City and Jaco Beach City including its many facilities and attractions. The Park disposes of facilities as: · Electricity and Public Phone · Potable Water · Natural Paths . Camping Area . Info Center for visitors. Gallery of Pictures The " Voluntary Work " includes maintenance of camping areas, maintenance of paths, maintenance of buildings and attention to visitors.
